Android 11 is here! This is what's new


 

After being in development for several months, Google announces finally the stable release for its famous operating system Android 11.

 

This new version of Android comes with plenty of new features to help users get the most of their devices most securely.

 

 Android 11 new features:




The notification panel in Android 11 is now split into two sections: one for the notifications and a second one for the notifications of the conversations, it's basically just a space dedicated to chat and messaging apps so you can reply to all your contacts and friends in the same place, and you can also pin your favorite contacts to the top so that you be able to connect them easily.

 

This new version of android comes also with "bubbles" which are a pop-up circle for the chats similar to those used by Facebook messenger, a Bedtime Mode on the phone which turns on Do Not Disturb mode during the night and makes the phone screen black-and-white to protect your vision, and a screen recorder built-in is the OS, and you can now manage all your connected objects (IoT) and bank cards in one interface with a long press on the power button.

 

 


talking on easy control, you can now switch easily between your wireless headset and your home speaker with a click. The Google keyboard gains now the Smart Reply which makes replies intelligently suggested based on what’s been said in the conversation so the words you need and the perfect emoji are always at your fingertip, your favorite apps have now pined on the bottom of the home screen and changes based on your routine so you can see what you need throughout the day, and you can now organize the apps on your home screen in folders by categories or theme with Smart folder feature that gives you intelligent suggestions for folder names.


 


 

 


With Android 11, Voice Access is faster and easier to use. Intuitive labels on apps help you control and navigate your phone, all by speaking out loud. Even use Voice Access offline, for more support whenever you need it, and Android Auto now works wirelessly with devices running Android 11 so you can bring the best of your phone on every drive.

 

The privacy settings are also improved in this release of Android and let you the capability to give permissions to the app just once or only when you use the app, and if you haven't used an app in a while Android will reset permissions for your unused apps to protect your privacy, and last but not least With Android 11, you get even security updates and privacy fixes sent to your phone from Google Play in the same way all your other apps update so you have quick access to the latest security patches when they are released.

 

You can download and install Android 11 in your Pixel 2 and above right now by going to the settings and checking for updates, or wait for your phone manufacturer to send the update for you.
