In its Mega Launch global event, The Chinese company Xiaomi unveiled a new line-up of Mi series smartphones, to be added to the Mi 11 phone that was announced earlier this year. This new line-up consists of five smartphones Mi 11 Lite (4G and 5G editions), Mi 11i, Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra.
Mi 11 Lite:
One of the annoying things about Xiaomi is the naming system that it uses in its smartphones, so you find a phone with a different name in each country, and sometimes the company gives the same name to different smartphones that have no relationship between them, which means that a phone with the same name may have different specifications depending on the country in which it was launched.
Xiaomi has released two different versions of the Mi 11 Lite phone: a 5G version for the Chinese market and countries that have 5G coverage, and a 4G version for India and countries where only 4G networks are available. These two versions, although their name is the same, their technical specifications are not like that, while the 5G version comes with the new 5 nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G processor (octa-core clocked at 2.4 GHz, Adreno 642 GPU) making it the first phone in the world to come with this new processor from Qualcomm, the 4G version only comes with the old 8 nm Snapdragon 732G processor (octa-core clocked at 2.3 GHz, Adreno 618 GPU).
Both phones come with a 6.55-inch Full HD + AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit colour depth, 402 ppi (pixels per inch) density, and support HDR10 + and Dolby Vision, but the 5G version screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6 wile 4G variant is only protected by the older generation of Gorilla Glass 5.
Both versions also have the same rear camera system consisting of a 64-megapixel wide-angle primary camera with a 1.8 aperture that supports autofocus, in addition to an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 2.2 aperture that supports the autofocus feature as well, and a third 5-megapixel camera with a 2.4 aperture for macrophotography, except that they differ in the selfie camera, as the fourth generation version comes with a wide 16-megapixel camera with a 2.5 aperture, while the fifth-generation version contains a wide camera as well, but with a 20-megapixel resolution and a 2.2 aperture.
Mi 11 Lite phones have a 4250 mAh battery with a fast-charging capacity of 33 watts via the USB Type-C 2.0 port located at the bottom of the phone as well, and next to it is a speaker that works alongside the speaker to make calls like as stereo speakers, the two versions also support NFC Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and compass sensors, plus a fingerprint built into the power button.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite (4G) comes in Black, Pink, or Blue colours, in three memory configurations (RAM/ROM) 6/64 GB, 6/128 GB, and 8/128 GB, with price starts from €299; while the 5G variant comes in Black, Yellow, or Green colours, and in 6/128 GB or 8/128 GB combinations starting at €369.
