Samsung Announces Galaxy A33 5G and Galaxy A53 5G Smartphones



Today, Samsung revealed two new phones, Galaxy A, of the middle class, with competitive technical specifications and at a reasonable price. These phones are the Galaxy A33 and Galaxy A53.

This new Galaxy A series of phones have IP67 water and dust resistance and comes with the newly released OneUI 4.1 interface based on Android 12, with a promise from Samsung to send up to 4 major Android updates and 5 years of security updates for these phones, which is a precedent in the mid-range category.


The Samsung Galaxy A33, A53 phones have a 5000-capacity battery that supports 25W fast charging, but the unpleasant surprise here is that Samsung decided to remove the charger from the box of these phones, justifying the matter as usual to preserve the environment.


Samsung Galaxy A33 5G:



The Samsung Galaxy A33 comes with a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display, with Full HD Plus resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 411ppi of pixel density, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.


This phone carries an Exynos 1280 processor with a 5nm manufacturing accuracy and comes with 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 to 256 internal storage, expandable with an external SD memory card.


The Galaxy A33 phone carries a quad rear camera system that can record video clips with a resolution of up to 4K at 30 frames per second (fps), consisting of:


  • 48-megapixel primary camera with a wide-angle lens, f/1.8 aperture, supports autofocus (AF), and optical image stabilization (OIS).
  • 8-megapixel camera, ultra-wide angle, 123-degree field of view, f/2.2 aperture.
  • 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture for macro photography.
  • 2-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture for depth.


This phone also has a V-shaped 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f / 2.2 lens aperture, capable of recording 1080p video at 30 fps.


The Samsung Galaxy A33 phone has a Type-C charging port and a side-mounted fingerprint, supports NFC (in some countries), comes in a choice of four colors: Black, White, Blue, Peach, and it will be available beginning April 22 in select markets with a starting price of £329.


Samsung Galaxy A53 5G:



The Samsung Galaxy A53 offers a Super AMOLED screen that is slightly larger than the previous phone, as it comes with a 6.5-inch screen display with a resolution of Full HD+, a refresh rate of 120 Hz and, and a density of 405 pixels per inch, protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.


This phone comes with the same processor, memory, and storage options as the previous Galaxy A33 phone, as it contains an Exynos 1280 octa-core processor with a 5-nanometer manufacturing accuracy, in addition to 6 or 8 GB RAM and 128 or 256 GB internal storage memory that can be expanded by an external memory card.


In terms of cameras, this phone also has four rear cameras that can record videos at a resolution of up to 4K at a rate of 30 FPS, and this set of cameras consists of:


  • 64 MP wide-angle main camera with an f/1.8 lens aperture that supports AF and OIS.
  • 12 MP ultrawide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and 123˚ field of view.
  • 5 MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture for macro photography.
  • 5 MP camera with an f/2.4 aperture for depth.


The Galaxy A53 has a 32-megapixel selfie camera (in the form of a hole in the front screen), with an f / 2.2 lens slot, capable of recording video with a resolution of up to 4K at 30 fps.


This smartphone is equipped with a USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 5, a side-mounted fingerprint, and it's available in Black, White, Blue, and Peach colors, and it will be available in select markets beginning April 1, starting at £399.
